Insurance & Liability
Elite Dog Services is fully insured. However, we strongly recommend that all owners also maintain their own pet insurance.
Every reasonable care is taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs attending day care. However, as dogs interact in a social environment, minor injuries, accidents, illness or altercations can occasionally occur. Elite Dog Services cannot accept liability for injury, illness, death, loss or damage sustained while a dog is attending day care.
In the event of a minor accident or altercation, the owner is responsible for arranging any veterinary care required. As we are not the legal owner of your dog, we cannot make medical decisions on your behalf unless there is an emergency and immediate action is required for the welfare of the dog.
Neutering Policy
To maintain a safe and balanced group environment:
Male dogs must be neutered.
Female dogs must be spayed before their first heat.
This policy helps protect the wellbeing of all dogs attending day care.
Behaviour & Suitability
All dogs must complete a temperament assessment before joining day care. The assessment costs €20, takes approximately 30 minutes, and is required before any regular or ad hoc booking can be confirmed.
Day care is not suitable for every dog. Acceptance is based on behaviour, temperament, confidence, social compatibility and suitability for our group environment.
Any signs of aggression towards staff or other dogs may result in refusal or termination of services.
We continuously monitor each dog’s behaviour, as dogs can change over time due to age, health, hormones, environment or life experience. Owners will be informed of any concerns.
Elite Dog Services is committed to structured, balanced care. We respect dogs as dogs, supporting their welfare, safety, natural behaviour and individual needs.
Owner Conduct
We expect respectful communication at all times.
Any abusive, rude or inappropriate behaviour towards staff may result in termination of services.
Vaccination Requirements
All dogs attending day care must be fully vaccinated, and proof of vaccination must be provided before attendance.
Required vaccinations include:
DHPPI
Leptospirosis
Kennel Cough
Dogs must also be free from contagious illness, parasites or any condition that may pose a risk to other dogs.
Payment Policy
Payment is due by Friday each week and may be made by cash or card.
Late or missed payment may result in your dog being unable to attend the following week.
Drop-Off & Collection
Drop-off: By 9:30am only.
Please do not arrive after this time. If your dog is not attending, please send a text as soon as possible.
Collection: By 6:25pm sharp.
Late collection fees apply. Repeated late collections — three occasions — may result in termination of services.
Please allow time during drop-off if other clients are present. Dogs are checked in one at a time to ensure a calm and safe arrival process.
Attendance & Cancellations
Please notify us by text if your dog will not be attending, whether they are booked on regular set days or on an ad hoc basis.
We need to know in advance which dogs to expect each day so we can safely manage the group.
Ad Hoc Bookings
Ad hoc bookings are accepted by text only and may be made up to one week in advance.
Cancellations must be made by 5pm, two working days before the booked attendance.
Late cancellation: 50% of the booking fee applies.
No-show or same-day cancellation: full fee applies.
Ad hoc spaces are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. To help dogs remain settled and familiar with our day care environment, ad hoc dogs should attend at least once every two weeks where possible. Dogs that attend too rarely may find the environment more difficult to settle into.
Set Day Bookings
Set day bookings reserve your dog’s place on the same day or days each week on an ongoing basis.
Payment is required for your reserved set days, whether your dog attends or not. If you know your dog will be absent, payment for that week is still required.
If you wish to change from set days to ad hoc bookings, this is absolutely fine. However, once changed, you must remain on that booking type for a minimum of three months.
