Insurance & Liability
Elite Dog Services is fully insured. However, we strongly recommend that all owners maintain their own pet insurance.
While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure the safety of all dogs in our care, Elite Dog Services cannot accept liability for injury, illness, death, loss or damage sustained while attending day care.
In the event of a minor accident or altercation, it is the owner’s responsibility to arrange veterinary care. As we are not the legal owners of the dogs attending, we cannot make medical decisions on your behalf.
Neutering Policy
• Male dogs must be neutered.
• Female dogs must be spayed before their first heat.
This is essential to maintain a safe and balanced group environment.
Behaviour & Suitability
All dogs must complete a temperament assessment prior to joining day care.
Day care is not suitable for every dog. Acceptance is based on behaviour, temperament and group compatibility.
Any signs of aggression towards staff or other dogs will result in immediate removal from the service.
We continuously monitor behaviour, as dogs can change over time. Owners will be informed of any concerns.
Elite Dog Services is committed to structured, balanced care — we treat dogs as dogs, ensuring their welfare, safety and natural behaviour needs are respected.
Owner Conduct
We expect respectful communication at all times. Any abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff will result in termination of services.
Vaccination Requirements
The following vaccinations must be up to date and proof provided:
• DHPPI
• Leptospirosis
• Kennel Cough
Dogs must also be free from contagious illness.
Payment Policy
Payment is due by Friday each week (cash or card).
Failure to pay on time may result in non-attendance the following week.
Drop-Off & Collection
• Drop-off: By 9:30am only
Please do not arrive after this time. If your dog is not attending, kindly send a text.
• Collection: 6:25pm sharp
Late collection fees apply. Repeated late collections (3 occasions) may result in termination of services.
Please allow time during drop-off if other clients are present. Service operates on a first-come basis.
Attendance & Cancellations
Please notify us by text if your dog will not be attending, whether on a regular set booking or ad hoc basis. We must know which dogs to expect each day.
Ad Hoc Bookings
• Bookings accepted by text only
• Can be made up to one week in advance
Cancellations must be made by 5pm, two working days prior to attendance.
• Late cancellation: 50% fee
• No-show or same-day cancellation: full fee applies
Set Day Bookings
Set days are reserved weekly on an ongoing basis.
Payment is required whether your dog attends or not. If you plan to miss a week, payment is due the week prior.
If switching from set days to ad hoc bookings, a minimum 3-month commitment to the new booking type applies.
