FAQs
Can my dog attend day care if they are not neutered or spayed?
1
All dogs must be neutered or spayed before attending day care. Young male dogs who are not yet neutered may be assessed on an individual basis, but if they begin humping, pestering or unsettling other dogs, they may not be able to continue attending until neutered. This helps maintain a safe, calm and fair environment for the whole group.
Do I need to bring food or toys?
2
No. Please do not bring food or toys unless specifically agreed in advance. We have plenty of toys and enrichment items available at the daycare. If your dog has a specific dietary need or routine, please let us know on the form.
What happens during the temperament assessment?
3
The assessment gives us time to meet your dog one-to-one, observe their personality and see how comfortable they are in the day care environment. We look at confidence, behaviour, social suitability and whether they seem happy and relaxed enough for a group setting.
Does passing the assessment guarantee a place?
4
No. The assessment helps us decide whether day care is suitable for your dog and whether we have availability within the right group. The wellbeing of all dogs comes first.
Do you offer kennels or overnight boarding?
5
No. Elite Dog Services is a dog day care service only. We do not offer kennels, overnight boarding or residential stays.
